Presentation

The Bellevaux Valley, at the foot of Mont Pécloz, offers a highly enjoyable outing. The nature trail through the valley explains the different components of the landscape and the delicate balance between mankind and nature.

From the Bellevaux parking lot, the path climbs the steep slopes of the forest side and soon joins a shady track. At the end of the forest, the path leads you through meadows to the ruins of the village of La Chapelle, and then back down along the nant de la Lanche (Chapelle). The return journey takes you along the riverside path of the Chéran.

Important: this itinerary is located in the Bauges National Hunting and Wildlife Reserve, where special regulations apply. Dogs are forbidden, even on a leash. For further information, visit the Parc naturel régional des Bauges website.
